Chelsea let their youngster go to Rome for £34 million in the summer. Last season he scored a solid 12 goals in 32 games for the club, adding 6 assists.
Considering how much he played during the whole season, these are excellent numbers. Nevertheless, Tammy Abraham had to say goodbye to the Blues.
And he obviously did the right thing. AS Roma made him one of their main stars right from his arrival, often promoting him on their social media and it seems that the English striker himself is very happy in the Italian capital.
In fact, he was very passionate about singing the club anthem before the last game in which his team played Udinese. Italy simply suits him.
But his satisfaction is also evident on the pitch. He has scored five goals in seven competitive matches. He scored three goals himself and assisted two others.
Although Chelsea have brought in Romelu Lukaku in attack, Abraham at 23 years old shows that he has a lot of potential and that the Blues might regret his departure in the future.
If Abraham does well until the end of the season, a move to a bigger club cannot be ruled out. There will be no shortage of interest in his services.
