Diaz taunts McGregor after Poirier’s loss. How did the Irishman react?
Dustin Poirer, after beating Conor McGregor twice, got a title fight with Charles Oliveira. But unfortunately he lost and his failure is water on the mill of Nate Diaz, who once again provokes the Irish fighter, who could not but react.
Dustin Poirer, after beating Conor McGregor twice, got a title fight with Charles Oliveira. But unfortunately he lost and his failure is water on the mill of Nate Diaz, who once again provokes the Irish fighter, who could not but react.
Nate Diaz has a score to settle with Conor McGregor. They fought twice, the first time he won, the second time the Irishman won. So it remains to be seen if there will be a trilogy and who will eventually win it.
At the very least, Diaz is doing his best for it. McGregor, however, is not too far behind either. If the third fight happens, it will be extremely watchable. PPV sales could even be record breaking.
The Irishman now has two losses under his belt to Dustin Poirier, who was no match for Charles Oliveira on Sunday morning, who forced the American to tap out in the third round after a choke.
Diaz couldn’t take advantage of that. “How could Conor let Poirier get knocked out multiple times? He’s worth s**t,” he tweeted.
McGregor couldn’t help but respond. According to him, Poirier got lucky twice, which is all his wins were about. He also rejoiced at what an “embarrassing night” The American had been through.
Understandably, he didn’t like the statement “several times.” Finally, he mocked both Poirier and Diaz for the fact that neither had made a title fight yet.
“At least you can say you made weight before the title fight,” McGregor said in his response.
