Detroit extends losing streak
This time Detroit failed to beat the Brooklyn Nets (112:118) at home. They have one more challenge ahead of them, although the team itself would like to see what a winning game tastes like.
The absolute record of 28 defeats in a row is once again held by the Philadelphia 76ers. He, however, split this streak between two seasons, namely the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons.
Since the team from Detroit will visit the Boston Celtics, the best team of the current season, in the next game, it can be assumed that they will add another defeat.
In the game against the Nets, things looked promising for a while. Detroit led by as many as 14 points during the game. In addition, Cade Cunnigham gave an outstanding performance, scoring 41 points in the game and raging especially in the second half, when he scored 37 points.
He also added 9 rebounds and 5 assists for his teammates, but the end belonged to the team from the other side of the floor and the misery of the Pistons continues.
Detroit is waiting for another win since October 28, when they won their first home game of the season. Pistons coach Monty Williams, somewhat surprisingly, continues to remain on the bench. Although the frustration from the front office and players is evident on the court.
Sacramento’s Fox is the scorer of the day
De’Aaron Fox of Sacramento had a great shooting performance in the Portland Blazers vs Sacramento Kings (130:113). He has already been awarded player of the week twice. But even his 43 points weren’t enough to defeat the Blazers.
His teammate Damantas Sabonis, who added 12 rebounds to his 34 points, was a good teammate. But it wasn’t enough for Portland’s collective performance, which was dragged down mainly by Anfernee Simons, who loaded the Kings’ basket with 29 points.
