After 28 games of frustration, the Detroit basketball team finally got a winning game. The streak was snapped at home against Toronto. Dallas’ Luka Doncic had a performance that only Oscar Robertson could pull off. Chris Paul reached a major milestone, but his joy was spoiled by defeat.

The Pistons finally got a win

In the game Detroit Pistons vs Toronto Raptors ( 129:127) the best player of the home team, Cade Cunnigham, had a part in ending the terrible streak, scoring 30 points and adding 12 accurate passes to his teammates.

Detroit recorded only its third win this season, the second of which came on its home floor. It is clearly the worst team in the NBA. The players, including the coach, were almost in tears when they finally knew the joy of winning a game.

Although the victory was not easy to come by. The Raptors made a strong push, thanks to Pascal Siakam and Dennis Schroder, who combined for 65 points. This time, however, the Pistons brought the game to a victorious end.

Luka Doncic mimicked Oscar Robertson’s performance

In the Golden State vs Dallas Mavericks (122:132) game, the Slovenian player Luka Doncic led the Mavericks to victory and almost had a triple-double again.

With this performance, he made his mark in the annals of NBA basketball by accomplishing a feat that has only been done by the legendary Oscar Robertson. He managed to average at least 35 points per game during the calendar month, along with double-digit assists and at least 8 rebounds per game. All this with a minimum of 10 games played.

Chris Paul at 22,000 points scored

In the same game in which Doncic made history, already, you could say, playing legend Chris Paul scored 24 points on the losing side. It was his best shooting performance of the season. This celebrated an anniversary as he also broke the 22,000 point mark in the NBA.

He succeeded as the 37th player in NBA history to do so. Coincidentally, his teammate Stephen Curry also reached the same mark in the current season. His joy was spoiled only by the bitterness of defeat. In addition, the team from Golden State is in the red after another defeat with a 15-17 record. The American point guard, who is one of the best passers in NBA history, secured his ticket to the Basketball Hall of Fame with this milestone.
