England converted only two of the five penalty kicks. Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho, who came on at the end of extra time to take the penalty kick, failed. It was Sancho who was sent off for the decisive fifth.

Unfortunately, he ended up the same as his previous two teammates. He missed the penalty. England lost the final and the fans were very unhappy. A lot of them turned against their players. It was the three players who missed the penalty who took the brunt of it.
