Denmark’s progress? No injustice, the corner was correctly ruled out!
The post-match commentary, which the fans fed thanks to the half-time analysis in the Czech TV studio, could be summed up as follows: “It’s a pity about the quick goal after the corner that shouldn’t have been…” But it’s quite different!

Dan Salisbury-Jones, producer of the British ITV station, has come up with a new take that literally erases the existing popular opinion. The ball actually did scrape against Čelůstek’s hand.
But until then, everyone was wrong. The whole “trouble” started with the director of the live broadcast, who did not offer sufficient replays. Czech TV was thus working with the option of erroneous referees at half-time.
The media believed it and, of course, also the fans. Ondřej Čelůstka only supported the whole thing when he lunged at the assistant referee after the corner kick was awarded.
The Dutch referee made his biggest mistake in the second half when he denied the Danes a corner kick after a Czech run.
The Czech Republic did not play a bad game in the end, but it was not enough to advance to the semi-finals. However, one thing is for sure, the referees are not to blame for our defeat.
