Denis Shapovalov made it to the third round of the Australian Open over Sinner and Tomic. Especially in the first round, the 12th player of the ATP ranking had big problems, having spent almost four hours on the court.
The twenty-one-year-old Canadian tennis player can rely on his serve. He recorded 28 aces during the two aforementioned matches.
Felix Auger-Aliassime, on the other hand, is getting through the first Grand Slam tournament of the current season without any major difficulties. He won both matches without losing a set, with his opponents only getting one break point.
The nineteenth player in the ATP rankings was already in good form before the Australian Open. At the Murray River Open he reached the final, where he lost to Evans.
So what to bet on? The paper and odds favourite is Denis Shapovalov. However, Auger-Aliassime is performing better, and I also have more faith in him to reach the eighth round.
I expect a very interesting match between the two Canadian youngsters, in which both players should play at least one set. You can bet on it at odds of 1.46.
One of the main draws of the third round of the men’s Australian Open will be played at Margaret Court Arena.
