Barcelona’s attempts to extend Ousmane Dembele’s contract are failing. This is being exploited by other clubs who have already contacted the agent of the French international. Who is among those interested in Dembélé’s services?
Dembélé’s contract, which he has signed at Barcelona, expires at the end of the season. The club has already tried several times to agree a new contract with the player, but so far without success.
According to the latest information, the French player is said to want to continue at Barcelona, but the parties have clashed over a different financial idea. Barcelona, in a financial crisis, does not want to meet Dembélé’s financial demands.
Dembélé’s reluctance to sign a new contract has understandably registered with other clubs. And some have decided to take advantage of the situation and contact Dembélé’s agent.
A trio of Premier League clubs are said to be interested in Dembélé. Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle. Newcastle’s interest is long term and the club’s finances are certainly not lacking, however, Dembélé is not expected to head to this club.
Outside of the Premier League, PSG have also approached the agent, along with Bayern Munich. At PSG, he could thus continue his collaboration with Lionel Messi.
Dembélé can only choose from the offers and thanks to his expiring contract, the club cannot stop him from leaving. However, there is still a possibility that the French winger will agree a contract extension with Barcelona.
