Dembélé in trouble! The Frenchman is not in PSG’s nomination for the match against Arsenal
Ousmane Dembélé is probably one of the biggest stars left at PSG. However, coach Luis Enrique is making a decisive move to convince that even he is not certain of everything. In fact, the Frenchman was left completely without a nomination for the Champions League match against Arsenal. The explanation? Paris can win without him.

- Ousmane Dembélé has not been included in the nomination for Tuesday’s Champions League match against Arsenal
- Coach Enrique mentioned that the Frenchman is not a team player
- Paris Saint-Germain can win without him
The French winger arrived at the Parisian club during last summer for 50 million euros from Barcelona. After the departure of Kylian Mbappé, he has become one of the biggest stars running around the lawns of Ligue 1. It is from him that the fans hope to drag their team beyond the dream Champions League.
Within this season, Dembélé is the most productive player of his team. He has scored 4 goals and added 4 assists in 7 games. A goal or an assist every 54 minutes. He also scored a goal against Belgium during the national team reunion. So everything is working in his favour.
However, the Frenchman was not included in the nomination for the Champions League match against Arsenal. Not only for PSG fans, this is a shock, as there was no indication at all. He played a respectable 82 minutes in Ligue 1 at the weekend, hence Enrique could not make a decision based on a poor performance.
Dembélé is missing from the nomination, Enrique gave an explanation at the press conference
Of course, the question on the omission of the star winger came first. “I want the best for my team, so Dembélé was left out. Paris as a team can win without him.”
The Spaniard has a wealth of experience in his coaching career. It was he who was the last to win the Champions League title with Barcelona. During that time he managed Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suárez, so he certainly knows what it’s like dealing with superstars. However, Dembélé is far from the players mentioned above.
“If someone doesn’t respect the team’s expectations, he’s not ready to play. The game against Arsenal is very important and it is impossible for someone to be unprepared”, Enrique details the situation. It seems that the French winger has not shown himself as a team player in the last few days, for which the coach has punished him.
“I want the team to have a face. I have the support of the president and the sporting director. I am here to create a strong team and that may include Dembélé in the future. Just to be clear,” concluded the Spanish strategist.
