Deliverance from the hands of the Red Devils. Jadon Sancho returns to Borussia Dortmund
Jadon Sancho has finally arrived. After a harrowing last few months at United, a rescue lasso has arrived from his beloved Borussia Dortmund.
Jadon Sancho has finally arrived. After a miserable last few months at United, where he was not even given a bench position for a long time, a rescue lasso came from his beloved Dortmund, where he spent a successful four seasons.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the player is expected to undergo a medical today and then sign a loan deal without an option. Dortmund will contribute to the payment of part of Sancho’s salary and in total, including the away fee, the whole package will come to €4 million.
The player, who arrived at Manchester United three years ago for a whopping 85 million euros (about 2 billion crowns), hasn’t had the happiest of recent months. It all started 3. 9. 2023 after the away defeat to Arsenal (1:3), when the young striker did not even get on the bench.
The Hag justified it with a poor approach to training. However, Sancho strongly disagreed with that and even spoke out against his coach’s statement in a lengthy post on social network X. He was subsequently dropped from the A team and was to undergo an individual training program.
Since no apology was received from the player, it happened that he was not even on the bench in the next twenty-five competitive matches of the Red Devils. This almost five-month long wait for match workload should now be solved by his transfer to Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho transferred to his beloved club from Manchester City in 2017. Since then, he has managed to net 38 goals in the yellow and black jersey over the course of four seasons, adding an impressive 45 assists. These performances were then followed by a move to Old Trafford.
He didn’t do badly at United either. Except for the current season, he has been a regular, just not able to add the expected goals and assists, in short, what he did at Dortmund. After the aforementioned affair with the Dutch coach, it is clear that Sancho was looking forward to a change.
Now that he is back home, all fans and journalists are looking forward to the restart of the very experienced, though still very young, only twenty-three year old striker. Dortmund, who are currently in fifth place in the German Bundesliga, 15 points behind first-placed Leverkusen, will definitely need Sancho’s help.
