Declan Rice poked Tomas Soucek before the Euro, he paid him back with interest!

The Euro is around the corner and the Czech national team has at least 3 amazing matches ahead of them! In the British Isles our national team will play Scotland, Croatia and England. Group D is really tough, but with the current phase of some of the players, why shouldn’t we think about progression?

Our team’s central figure and vice-captain Tomas Soucek probably thinks the same. He hasn’t shied away from a nudge from his West Ham teammate.

“Declan Rice told me that we can’t beat them (England). I told him, remember our last game?” he revealed details of the backstage banter.

The ex-Czech Republic captain recalled the legendary Czech Republic win over England in October 2019, when the national team won 2-1 in Eden. It would be a sensation to get a similar result at the Euro, but the English are even stronger with the home crowd at Wembley.

The first hints of what form our team is in will be shown in Friday’s preliminary match against Italy.
On Tuesday we will play a friendly match against Albania and then we will enter the most anticipated tournament of the year.
