The Bavarian club based in Munich can boast a very successful transfer period. Young coach Julian Nagelsmann has selected reinforcements from Europe’s top teams for his club and hopes to win the famous Eared trophy.
The first significant transfer for Bayern Munich was Sadio Mané. He was one of the mainstays in Liverpool’s meteoric ride across the Champions League and Premier League. In the 2018/2019 season, he helped return the Champions League trophy to Liverpool’s famous Anfield Road stadium after almost fourteen years.
A season later, he again managed to win the English Premier League with his club. The other two transfers are linked by one parent club, Ajax Amsterdam. Together, Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui have become strong pillars of the Dutch side this season.
Gravenberch is a modern central midfielder who stands out on the pitch especially with his height. At a trim 190 centimetres tall, the young talent is a great acquisition for the Bavarian big club, especially with an eye on the future.
Mazraoui is also a very good signing and will probably be part of Bayern Munich’s starting line-up from the beginning of his commitment.
At Ajax, he shone especially in Champions League games, in which he gave very convincing and steady performances.
The last introduced reinforcement Matthijs De Ligt also has his history written in Ajax. De Ligt literally shot into the world from there after he managed to reach the Champions League semi-finals in the jersey of this club in the 2018/2019 season. At the time, he was wanted by just about every European big club.
However, his services were won by Juventus in Italy, whose colours he defended for three seasons. Now, this still young and very talented defender is moving to Bayern, where he will target more trophies.
