Hertha Berlin, which includes Czech midfielder Vladimir Darida, is gearing up for the new season. This time, the German club is focusing on offense. Kevin-Prince Boateng arrived a month ago and now Stevan Jovetic has also signed for the Berlin club.
Thirty-one-year-old striker Stevan Jovetic left AS Monaco for Hertha Berlin for free at the end of his contract.
With his new club, the Montenegrin international has signed a contract until 30 June 2023 with an option to extend for another year.
Last season, the Titograd native played a total of 33 games for the French club, scoring 7 goals and adding 1 assist.
“Stevan is a classic striker who has experience from the best European leagues. He has scored goals in the Premier League, Serie A, Ligue 1 and La Liga. His footballing qualities and his personality will help us immediately. We are looking forward to seeing him,” said Hertha sporting director Fredi Bobic.
“I had really good talks with the club, especially with Fredi Bobic. I was really interested in this chance to come to Berlin immediately. Now I’m looking forward to this club, the city, my new teammates and the Bundesliga,” Jovetic commented on his arrival.
