New York has introduced strict measures that make it necessary for those who want to go to restaurants or shows to be vaccinated, which also applies to the UFC.
Therefore, the question has arisen in society whether Dana White, the head of the UFC organization, will force his fighters to get vaccinated so that he does not have constant problems.
However, he doesn’t think this way and left the decision up to the fighters. “I’m never going to tell anybody what they should do with their body. If someone wants to get vaccinated, that’s entirely up to them,” he said in an interview with TSN.
“It’s everybody’s choice. But you’ll never hear me say that I’m forcing anyone to get vaccinated. It’s just not going to happen. A lot of people are starting to panic now about what it’s going to be like in New York, because it seems like you can’t get into a restaurant or a gin joint without a vaccination.
Some people will even lose their jobs for not getting vaccinated. But that doesn’t apply to the UFC. If someone wants to get vaccinated, go for it. If he doesn’t want to, his choice,” he added.
Fighter Michael Chandler also had his say. “It‘s not that I’m against the vaccine, but I just don’t completely trust it. I want to wait until the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approves everything 100%. I don’t know what will happen, I really don’t,” he said.
