Czechs must prove that only Patrik Schick can’t score goals, says Matěj Vydra

The Czech national football team is eagerly awaiting its last World Cup qualifying match against Estonia. Patrik Schick will not take part in the match and must now be replaced by others.
One possibility to replace Patrik Schick could be Matěj Vydra, who is joining the national team in good form. He scored a goal for Chelsea in his last game for Burnley. His goal secured a 1-1 draw and robbed the Champions League winners of points.
”In the Premier League, you remember every goal when you don’t have as many as some stars. I don’t look at the beauty, the important thing is that it brings points. Two years ago I scored the winning goal at Southampton, on Saturday the equaliser at Chelsea. At least a point brought more of my goals,” says Vydra about his goals in England.
Against Chelsea, it was Vydra’s first goal scored in the Premier League this season. In total, Matej Vydra has 10 goals scored in England’s top competition.
Vydra can score goals, but he doesn’t get into Burnley’s starting lineup much. He has been limited by injuries lately and has not yet convinced the coach to make him a member of the starting line-up. Despite this, the coach of the Czech national team Jaroslav Šilhavy has called up Vydra.
What does he think about the important match against Estonia? ”We should be able to get three points. Patrik Schick was the top scorer at the Euro, our national team relies on his goals a lot, but now he is not here. We have to show that we can score goals without him.”
A win may not be enough for the Czechs. They also have to look back at Wales’ last two games and hope they can falter.
Before the game against Estonia, the Czechs will play a preparatory match against Kuwait. The Czech Republic will play a preparatory match on 11.11. and will challenge Estonia on 16.11.
