The most successful Czech football player in the Eastern leagues was clearly Jan Kuchta. He scored the decisive goal in Lokomotiv Moscow’s win over Khimki. In the Polish top league, Tomas Petrasek was the most successful! He and his team Raków are still fighting for the title.

Jan Kuchta scored the decisive goal that decided Lokomotiv’s 3:2 win over Khimki. But the opponent complained immediately after the match because of Kuchta.

Khimki did not escape the fact that the Czech national team forward received a red card in his last match in a Slavia jersey and did not serve even a minute of his sentence.

Anyway, the result 3:2 in favour of Lokomotiv stands for now. The 25-year-old striker is rated 8 by WhoScored. During the match he had 38 touches with the ball, won two header duels, made one key pass and got on the end line four times.

Kuchta’s passing success rate was almost 67%, he also notched one successful dribble and was fouled four times.

Czechs in the Polish Ekstraklasa

The most outstanding performance of the Czech footballers in the Polish Ekstraklasa was recorded by Tomas Petrasek. He challenged Raków Lech Poznan in a direct contest for second place. Raków’s defence kept a clean sheet and in the end it was a 1:0 win.

Petrášek’s team is currently only one point behind the first Pogon Szczecin.

He has also played in Poland’s top competition with strikers Martin Doležal and Zdeněk Ondrášek. However, neither of them scored and both teams of Czech forwards drew.

Doležal’s Zaglebie Lubin drew 0:0 with Piast Gliwice. Wisla Krakow, with a Czech enclave led by Zdeněk Ondrášek, drew 1:1 with Lechia Gdańsk.

Besides Ondrášek, ex-Spartan Matěj Hanousek and ex-Slav Michal Frydrych also played for Wisla. Frydrych, the captain of the Krakow team, was the unlucky player of the match as he scored an own goal. See for yourself!
