Czech Republic knows its opponents for the Euro 2024 qualifying group! The group of your choice, the media says. Who will the Czechs face?
The Czechs were really lucky this time. On paper, the lot could not have chosen a more favourable group. Of course, even that does not guarantee promotion or success, but hopes and expectations are very high. For coach Šilhavy and his team it should be a “compulsory” promotion.

The Czech national team leader himself expressed his wish that he would like to see Poland in the first basket. It seems to be the most playable. And so it happened. In Group E, the Czechs will face the Poles.
The other options were defending champions Italy, the Netherlands or Portugal, with whom the Czechs have fresh and not very good experience.
The third basket went to Albania in Group E. And again. The threats were much stronger. The fate could have been Norway, where perhaps the best footballer in the world, Erling Haaland, operates at the top. Sweden, Iceland, Slovenia.
The last opponents for the five-man group are the Faroe Islands and Moldova. The island nation has only very narrowly held on in the 3rd performance group at the expense of Lithuania. Moreover, the Czech Republic had the advantage of being one of the groups with 5 members.
Compared to the teams in the 6-member groups, the Czechs will save their strength by playing 2 fewer competitive matches. 2 teams will advance directly from the group. A total of 24 teams will qualify for the tournament. The national team has never been missing in its independent history and should definitely not be missing this time either.
