The Czech national football team managed to beat Kuwait by a high margin in the preparatory match before the last match of the World Cup qualification. Kuwait leaves the Czech Republic with a 7:0 defeat.
The Czech Republic defeated the national team of Kuwait 7: 0 in a friendly match in preparation for their last World Cup qualifying match, in which they will challenge Estonia.
The Czech national team had to do without their head coach Jaroslav Šilhavy, who is suffering from coronavirus infection, and his assistant Jiří Chytrý took over. In the past, two matches against Kuwait have been played. Czechoslovakia drew 1:1 in 1982 and the Czech Republic won 2:1 in 1995.
Antonín Barák started the whole cannonade of the Czech team in the 26th minute with a shot from the small corner of the net. The Czechs managed one more goal before half-time. Jakub Pešek headed into an empty net. The score after the first half was 2:0 and nobody would have thought that five goals could be scored in the second half.
Kuwait defended the first half and denied the Czechs several great chances. Al Rashidi was convincing in goal, but even he didn’t do much in the second half. Right after the start of the second half Pešek increased the score to 3:0 again.
Then he scored his third goal, which was disallowed. On the other hand, Tomáš Souček’s headed goal was valid. In the 60th minute Filip Novák scored and the Czech national team led 5: 0. The sixth and seventh goals were scored by substitute Jan Sýkora.
The Czechs shot with gusto against the soccer midgets and recorded a big win 7::0. The preparation for the match against Estonia went well. The Czechs will play their last qualifying match on 16 November in Prague.
