The level of women’s football in the Czech Republic is rising. The First League will not be completely professional for a long time, but conditions are improving over time even outside of Prague S, which also suggests the results, as in the past there were not many losses of the top two teams.

But today we will not focus on the results. This time, we’ll look at the women’s soccer team in a different light. In our opinion, which Czech female footballers are the most attractive?

Aneta Pochmanova

Twenty-one-year-old Aneta Pochmanová, a footballer from Sparta Prague, is also playing for the senior national team. The young midfielder has been playing in the league since she was sixteen, currently in her fourth season.

She regularly helps her team with goals, with her best performance coming in the 2020/21 season, when she scored an impressive 15 goals in 20 league games.

Pochmanova is studying at the College of Economics and Management and has worked with several renowned sports brands.

Gabriela Šlajsová

In our review, we can’t miss twenty-two-year-old defender Gabriela Šlajsová, who currently belongs to Slavia Prague, where she joined in the summer of 2020 from Viktoria Plzeň.

In the spring, she has been a regular in the starting line-up, and she has not yet scored a goal from her position in the current line-up. She doesn’t have to be sorry, though, as Slavia lead the league with a one-point lead over Sparta.

Šlajsová is the partner of footballer Václav Sejk, who belongs to rival Sparta and is currently a guest in Jablonec, whom she is helping to save with her goals.

Amálie Koptová

The vast majority of female footballers in the Czech Republic must have a source of income other than football. Amálie Koptová, a 19-year-old Sparta player, has also taken this route.

This year’s edition of Miss Czech Republic 2023 saw her among the elite. But back to football, she is still a member of the reserve team, where she plays regularly.

Her career is promising, as Koptová is also a member of the Czech U19 national football team. Her partner is Martin Suchomel, a Spartan visiting Mladá Boleslav.

Barbora Votíková

The most famous female footballer in this list is undoubtedly Barbora Votíková, now a 26-year-old goalkeeper for French side Paris Saint-Germain.

The former Slavia Prague mainstay joined her current team in the summer of 2021 and has played 12 league games for them and another six in the Champions League.

Unfortunately, she was badly injured in a match against Lyon last April and has not returned to the pitch since. But now her return is finally imminent.

Andrea Staskova

Andrea Staskova is still only a 22-year-old Czech striker who has already had quite a career. The former Sparta Prague player headed abroad in the summer of 2019.

Back then, she moved to Juventus, where she scored 15 league goals in two seasons. Last summer, however, she was tempted by the offer of Atlético Madrid, where she went to meet the next adventure.

She is a regular at Atlético and scored her third goal of the season at the weekend. In addition, a few days ago, she defended her title of Footballer of the Year 2022.
