The RFA organization is about to hold its first tournament, which will feature, among others, heavyweight Tomas Mozny. At the public weigh-in, he was challenged to a fight by Alex Cverna. Promoter Boris Marhansky subsequently admitted that he would be interested in this fight.
The first tournament of the RFA organization called Warm Up starts today at 5 pm. It will feature Leo Brichta, David Hosek, Tadeáš Růžička and others.
For example, Tomas Možný, the Slovak heavyweight who will challenge Michal Reissinger. Alex Cverna, who shouted at Mozny at the weigh-in, came to support him.
He started shouting at him that he didn’t know what was coming and challenging him to a fight. The RFA promoter himself, Boris Marhansky, commented on this.
“As soon as I saw Cverna challenging Možný to beat him up, we started to see an interesting heavyweight fight. We are in favor of it.
Cverna wants an MMA fight, we’ll see how we can come to an agreement with Tomas,” said MMA Shorties, adding that Možný is now preparing for the fight and everything will be sorted out later.
This fight would certainly draw a lot of attention from RFA. The 44-year-old Cverna has an 8-2 record in MMA, but even because of his age, he has often been plagued by injuries that have caused him to withdraw from fights before they have even occurred.
His last fight was at the end of the year at a Fight Night Challenge event in which he fought Samuel Kristofich. The fight ended in a draw.
