On Wednesday, the seventh round of the Premier League between Crystal Palace and Manchester United. What to expect from the confrontation between the out-of-form home side and the up-and-coming visitors and what to bet on?

Crystal Palace are not in an ideal frame of mind. After Christmas, they won only one of their five games (2: 0 against Bournemouth) and finished in the FA Cup. In any case, from 12th place it still has a comfortable lead for relegation, namely seven points.

Manchester, on the other hand, is 100 percent since the renewed start, as the only English team still in four competitions. The derby win over the Citizens put it only a point behind its city rival, nine points behind leaders Arsenal.

Palace’s key figures

Crystal Palace rely on Wilfried Zaha’s goals, the African striker has netted six and assisted three so far. In defence, left back Tyrick Mitchell is putting in a sympathetic performance, with Eberechi Eze (3+3) in midfield.

United’s key figures

The visitors are drawn by three men. Marcus Rashford, the author of 16 goals and six assists, is in charge of the offensive duties, the midfield is held by Casemiro, a summer signing from Real Madrid, and left back Luke Shaw has unexpectedly caught on at stopper.

Despite a decent roster, Palace’s attack is not clicking, with the worst offensive performance of the Premier League’s top 12 with 17 shots. Moreover, it has scored more than once in only one of its last seven games and has come up completely empty five times.

Manchester, on the other hand, have been scoring since Boxing Day, scoring two or more goals in six of their last seven games, mainly thanks to Rashford. It also has the fourth best defence with 21 shots conceded.

Considering the incredible form of Rashford, and the solid defensive unit led by Shaw and Casemiro, as well as Palace’s poor productivity, I think the visitors will manage the game victoriously.
