Crystal Palace vs. Arsenal: Preview and betting tips

The new Premier League season opens with the London derby. Crystal Palace will welcome Arsenal to their home ground, with both teams having made good preparations. What to expect from the match and what to bet on?

Crystal Palace are happy with last season, Patrick Vieira and his young squad fought for the first half of the table and comfortably saved themselves. However, mainstay Conor Gallagher has left on loan from Chelsea and Palace will struggle without him.

Arsenal were fighting for the Champions League with a young squad. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left for Barcelona in the winter, which in hindsight did the squad good, the Gunners only lost fourth place two rounds from the end against Newcastle.

The home side will rely on Wilfried Zaha, the experienced Ivorian winger netted fourteen goals last season. Left-back Tyrick Mitchell, stopper Marc Guéhi and experienced marksman Christian Benteke also have important roles in the team.

On the away side, Bukayo Saka is the biggest star, he scored eleven times in the league last season and assisted on seven goals. Gabriel Jesus, new captain Martin Odegaard and stopper Gabriel have all done well in preparation.

Crystal Palace did well in the preparation, winning three of the four preliminary matches, scoring at least three times in all victories.

Arsenal even succeeded in all five matches, scoring an average of four goals per game. Incidentally, they have beaten Chelsea 4-0 and Sevilla 6-0.

Considering the excellent preparation of the Gunners and especially the form of Jesus, I think Arsenal will win.
