Pastrnak vs. Crosby
The Boston Bruins vs Pittsburgh Penguins (5:6) was a great shootout. And both of their teams’ biggest names, David Pastrnak on the Bruins and Sidney Crosby on the Penguins, scored identical three-point games in this goal-rich duel. They both had one goal and two assists.
Crosby was the star of the game. And it’s admirable that he’s not letting up on the scoring at all. Plus, he’s once again participating in this year’s All-Star Game, an exhibition matchup of the league’s biggest stars. Pastrnak was awarded third man of the game for his performance. Bruins captain Brad Marchand, a two-goal scorer, was sandwiched in between.
On Pittsburgh’s side, Crosby was followed by recent hero Kris Letang, who managed to record five assists in one period and six in one game. He recorded three more assists in that game.
The game was decided at 51:19 by Crosby after a pass from Erik Karlsson. In addition, Evgeni Malkin played his 100th regular season game in this game. The fact that he came up empty didn’t bother him at all, as his team beat a strong Boston team.
MacKinnon caught up with scoring leader Kucherov
In another attractive Dallas Stars vs. Colorado Avalanche (4:5) game, which ended in overtime, Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon was once again the man to beat.
