He broke the 30-goal mark for the 12th time in his career, the most 30-goal seasons in franchise history. He currently has 12 seasons to his credit, followed by Mario Lemieux (11), Jaromir Jagr (10), Evgeni Malkin (6) and Jean Pronovost (6).
This season marks the third time Crosby has scored 80 or more points in a season, joining Wayne Gretzky (17), Mark Messier (13), Dale Hawerchuk (13) and Marcel Dionne (13) as the only players in NHL history with 13 or more 80-point seasons.
Crosby entered the 2023-24 season ranked 15th in NHL historical scoring (1,502) and has since climbed to 11th (1,584).
He is just three assists away from becoming the 14th player in NHL history to record 1,000 career assists.
