Cracked knitting? No problem! Dimitrov is in great form and impressed with this exchange
Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov is not one of the biggest celebrities on the ATP circuit. But lately he has been making himself known more and more often. Especially with his performances. At the opening of the tournament in Brisbane against British Murray, he impressed with an exchange in very unusual conditions.

Brisbane tournament
The enterprise in Australia’s third largest city starts a new tennis season. It belongs to the ATP 250 category, i.e. among the entry-level tournaments. It has been moved up a level by the participation of Rafael Nadal, who has returned to the ATP circuit here.
Among the biggest favourites in Brisbane are Danish number one seed Rune and Bulgarian Dimitrov. The American Shelton, on the other hand, dropped out of the action unexpectedly early on, crashing hard against the Russian Safiullina.
Let’s add that Tomas Machac also qualified for the main event of this tournament. The Czech number two will meet the Argentine Etcheverry in the first round.
But back to Dimitrov. The thirty-two-year-old tennis player, on the other hand, entered the new season with a victory against British legend Andy Murray.
Dimitrov in the first round
The Bulgarian tennis player knows what it’s like to be at the top of the ATP. After all, he has already tasted the taste of the third position on the rankings. And after a weak season, also caused by health problems, he is back on top.
Last year he climbed up, tasted victory over Alcaraz and rose to the position of the 14th best tennis player in the world. But fate in Brisbane has set him up for a tough opponent.
He faced Andy Murray. The British veteran still remains part of the wider world’s best. And the native of southern Bulgaria was slow to get into the match.
Dimitrov lost the first set 4:6 and won the second set at the very end 7:5. He won the third set more convincingly and the winning strokes ratio looks the same. In this statistic, the Bulgarian won against the Briton with a ratio of 46:16.
Dimitrov earned special applause for the following exchange. He managed to dominate it despite a broken splice. Moreover, this problem occurred repeatedly in the match.
Finally..
Dimitrov wants nothing so much as to stay fit. Understandably so. Because he proved last year on the tennis courts that no obstacle is insurmountable for him.
We don’t want to jinx things, but the Bulgarian tennis player is currently the main favourite for the Brisbane tournament. How will he cope with this position?
