Coach Petr Rada is one of the known stormtroopers, he can often get really angry. That’s why his main goal for the Conference League group is: survive. At the press conference, he also commented on playing time.

Jablonec will face a Conference League group with Cluj, Alkmaar and Randers. In the first round, the northerners will welcome Cluj at home, which will be a very tough test.

The Romanian champion played the Champions League preliminary rounds but eventually dropped down to the Conference League. They recently played a Champions League preliminary round with Slavia, and have annual experience of European cups.

At the press conference, Petr Rad was asked how many points he would like to get after six games in the group. And the Jablonec coach answered in his own way.

“I want to win every game, it will be difficult. But I’ll be happy if I survive each of the six matches,” Rada answered at the press conference with a smile.

Even though Jablonec is regularly playing at the top of the table and will now play in the European Cups, not many people come to the stadium. The Green and Whites will challenge Cluj from 9pm, which Rada doesn’t find ideal.

“The artificial lighting plays a role and the weather is ideal for football. But nine o’clock is too late for this region. I always say that if you like football and enjoy it, you will come at midnight. When I went to football, I wasn’t just interested in the team I was cheering for, I went to see the opposition. And Cluj is an attractive opponent,” said Rada.
