Coufal, Kadeřábek, Masopust? No! How will Šilhavý solve the problem on the right side of the defence?
Wales will miss Gareth Bale on Friday, what is the Czech Republic’s Achilles heel? Definitely the right-back position, where Jaroslav Šilhavy has three players out. Who will fill the hole left by Vladimir Coufal?

Pavel Kadeřábek was not included in the original nomination at all. He is playing in Hoffenheim, but he needs rest after every game because of problems with his calf muscle. He has decided to skip the whole national team autumn.
In addition, on Tuesday the Czech national football team announced changes to the squad for the October meeting. Another right back, Vladimír Coufal, disappeared from the list as he wants to finish his minor injury in London.
Along with Coufal, Lukáš Masopust, another option for the right-back position, has also been removed from the list. He (like Kadeřábek) is troubled by a minor calf injury he suffered in the derby with Sparta.
The first choice is Aleš Matějů. Already an experienced all-rounder, he has been a regular in Serie B and has secured a solid place in the national team in the last year.
There is also an option with a versatile soldier. Tomas Holeš started his career at this position and Slavia bought him as a right-back. This option would also make sense from the point of view that Alex Kral could return to the centre of midfield.
Theoretically, Jaroslav Šilhavy can bet on newcomers, but that is not expected. Tomas Wiesner and Milan Havel will probably just be getting used to the idea and gaining experience on the bench.
