Controversial statement by UFC boss Dana White: football is the stupidest sport! What exactly bothers him?

A very bold statement that UFC boss Dana White wasn’t afraid to make. Football is the dumbest sport. If that were the case, or if his opinion were shared by anyone, surely football would not have been the unwavering number one for many years across the world.

A very bold statement that UFC boss Dany White wasn’t afraid to make. Football is the dumbest sport. If that were the case, or if anyone shared his opinion, surely football would not have been the unwavering number one for many years across the board.

The World Cup in Qatar on Saturday will feature the quarter-final duels between Morocco and Portugal, as well as the biggest match of the tournament so far, England vs France. UFC fans will turn their attention to the UFC 282 combat sports gala in Nevada.

“Football? I can’t stand it. It’s the sport you need the least talent for. A three-year-old can play football. Just run up and kick a ball,” the UFC president said on the podcast when it came to comparisons with other sports.

“I would say that in Brazil. You have a goal this big and the fight ends up, like, 3-1? Are you kidding me?” continued White.

“That’s the way hockey games should end. You’ve got to skate, hit the puck and beat the goalie in a small goal. That’s where you need talent, ” he added.

Apparently, it’s just an attempt to make his UFC as public as possible and to start some controversy. A man of his size, knowledge and ability can’t possibly be serious about this.

Football is the world’s most widely played sport. In many places in the world, such as Brazil and even England, football is on a level with religion, or perhaps even above it. It is available to everyone and that is why it is where it is.

Probably every one of us put our briefcases on the ground after school and someone brought a ball. And we played football. The number of football fields in the Czech Republic alone is in the thousands. In the U.S., soccer is the fastest growing sport on television in terms of viewership.

A lot of the numbers are going up in the Champions League, or the quality European leagues. The Americans often prefer these competitions to their own MLS, and that in itself is also a very interesting benchmark. Well, everyone is protecting their own, and that’s not surprising.
