Return of the King! This is how one could interpret the US Grand Prix of the Moto GP Royal Cubature. However, another thing could have lifted the fans out of their chairs, because at the end Jack Miller and Joan Mir got into a verbal fight with each other! What does the final standings look like?

The US Grand Prix was clearly dominated by Marc Márquez throughout. After starting from third place, he immediately took the race lead and even held off the onslaught at the first corner.

In the following laps, however, he seemed to have trouble catching his pursuers. However, this changed after the halfway point of the race and the legendary driver with the number 93 gradually built up his lead.

Fabio Quartararo was also consistent throughout the US Grand Prix. He was also unchallenged as the laps ticked down. Both Suzuki Ecstar riders made a great start.

We also saw three crashes in the race. On the second lap, Takaaki Nakagami crashed after leaning his Honda too much in turn 12 and ended up on the ground. And three laps later, Johann Zarco had a similar problem.

The Pramac Racing rider failed to control his bike at Turn 1 and subsequently retired from the race. And for the fifth time during the race weekend, Aprilia rider Aleix Espargaro crashed.

Nakagami was the only rider able to continue the race, but had to make up a huge deficit due to the crash. The twenty-nine-year-old Japanese rider, however, put in an admirable performance, not only making up for the loss of several tens of seconds, but also overtaking two riders at the end of the race.

The second rider of the Pramac Racing team, Jorge Martin, had a great race. But he couldn’t defend his third position. He made a mistake on lap 17 that cost him big time.

Martin failed to pass through Turns 4 and 5 and went off the track, which also shortened the track. He was subsequently given a long lap penalty by the sports commissioners. He completed his penalty on the last lap, being outperformed not only by Francesco Bagnaia but also by Alex Rins. Martin dropped to fifth place.

Rins and Mir, both Suzuki riders, were very active during the US Grand Prix. In particular, the latter found himself in several battles with Miller. On the last lap we even witnessed an incident where the two had a fierce battle for seventh place.

But according to Miller, Mir was too aggressive. Afterwards, the Ducati rider spared no words for Mir and scolded him at the top of his lungs. And according to race directors, he was right.

The reigning world champion, although he emerged victorious, was subsequently retired after the race for Miller.

Márquez confirmed his dominance in Austin, as he did at the Sachsenring. It should be noted that this is only the eighth year that Moto GP races have been held here – but this is already his seventh victory!

And to make matters worse, Honda Repsol scored its 450th podium finish in the Premier Class with this victory!

So what is the final standings for the US Grand Prix?

1. Marc Márquez, 2. Quartararo, 3. Bagnaia, 4. Rins, 5. Martin, 6. Bastianini, 7. Miller, 8. Mir, 9. Binder, 10. Pol Espargaro, 11. Oliveira, 12. Alex Márquez, 13. Dovizioso, 14. Marini and Valentino Rossi rounds out the top 15.
