Conte wants to be sacked during the national break. Many of his arguments are killing Arsenal, experts agree
A week ago, Vladimír Weiss Sr. took a swipe at the functioning of Slovan Bratislava in Slovakia, and on Saturday Tottenham coach Antonio Conte expressed similar criticism. According to many, his candid speech prematurely ended a dysfunctional relationship that had been heading towards an end for several weeks.

According to many, his candid speech prematurely ended a dysfunctional relationship that had been heading towards an end for several weeks.
Antonio Conte had many reasons to be in a bad mood after the 3-3 draw with Southampton. Firstly, he had two players injured in the first half, Richarlison even left the pitch in the third minute.
But the main reason was not the performance combined with the fact that Spurs were leading twice in the game. In the second half they even managed to increase the lead to 3: 1, yet the relatively experienced squad still conceded twice from the last team.
The Spurs coach did not hold back in the press conference after the shameful loss of the two-goal lead against Southampton and criticized the players for poor commitment and lack of team spirit.
“Conte wants to be sacked during this national break. Spurs can only recall him to end his misery as soon as possible,” Jamie Carragher wrote on his Twitter account.
And the Liverpool legend’s words make sense. Conte has taken on the entire structure of the club’s operations alongside the players. He mentioned the long wait for a trophy and the fact that he sees no way to add valuable triumphs to the showcase.
“His point with winning trophies is correct, but he can’t talk like that about his own club. Plus Arsenal’s improvement after finishing behind Tottenham in the table last year kills many of his arguments,” Carragher continued.
It is true that Tottenham have strengthened interestingly during this season, yet they are not keeping up with Arsenal at all. Richarlison hasn’t caught on at all, nor has Pedro Porro or Brighton star Yves Bissouma.
Conte is only keeping his side in a position to guarantee the Champions League thanks to Harry Kane, the rest of the team has been under the blanket for most of the season. Tottenham have won only one of their last five games and the question is who will lead them into the April games after the national break.
“It looks like his position is untenable. I had a feeling he was trying to get sacked after they lost to Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup,” contributed Jamie Redknapp with his opinion.
