Conor McGregor in trouble again. On Tuesday, he was detained by police in Ireland for dangerous driving, which endangered not only himself, but also other drivers and passers-by. In addition to the detention, his vehicle was impounded.
McGregor rampaged through the streets of Dublin in his Bentley Continental, which is worth more than $187,000, or more than 4.2 million crowns.
The car is expected to be returned to the Irish fighter shortly, the Irishman himself has already been released from custody after posting bail. He will, however, face charges.
McGregor was alleged to have committed several driving offences, and was charged with dangerous driving. Under Irish law, he could face not only a financial penalty but also a six-month jail term.
The UFC star was alleged to have committed the offence while on his way to the gym. Police officers tested him for drugs and alcohol but came up with nothing.
This is not the first problem of this kind for McGregor. In 2018, he lost his driver’s license and faced a speeding ticket. In fact, he was speeding at 150 km/h in a place where the maximum speed limit was 100 km/h.
A year ago, he had to pay $440 for speeding.
This is the second UFC fighter to be arrested in recent days. Namely, Jorge Masvidal, who recently offended by attacking his rival and conqueror Colby Covington on the street.
