Coefficient after Thursday: Slavie’s promotion should guarantee the dream 15th place, but the Norwegians are breathing down our neck
Slavia scored a 3:3 draw with Feyenoord Rotterdam in injury time in the quarter-finals of the Europa League, but it didn’t help the Czech coefficient much. How much do we currently lose to the Top 15 guaranteeing five teams in the European Cups for the 2023/24 season?
Slavia scored a 3:3 draw with Feyenoord Rotterdam in injury time in the quarter-finals of the Europa League, but it didn’t help the Czech coefficient much. How much are we currently losing to the Top 15 teams guaranteeing five European Cups for the 2023/24 season?
The Greek Superliga remains in 15th place. Although PAOK Thessaloniki lost 1: 2 on Thursday at Marseille’s ground, the Greeks are still in the TOP 15 with 28,450 points. Moreover, they started with four teams, so every additional point gained by Thessaloniki is divided by four.
The 16th position belongs to the Czech Republic. In a wild game at Feyenoord Rotterdam, the Seychellois were losing, leading, then losing again, and only in the setup Ibrahim Traoré scored a point for a 3-3 draw.
Slavia thus added only 0.2 points to the Czech coefficient after the draw, as their score is divided by five (five teams in qualification). The Czechs are 0.65 points behind the fifteenth position, which is equivalent to any result that will lead to Slavia’s progress to the semi-finals.
Norway’s Bodo Glimt isn’t ending its illustrious ride through Europe either. The competition outsider turned the game against AS Rome at home in the final minutes and will fly to the Italian capital with a 2-1 record.
Thanks to Glimt’s excellent results, Norway are in contention for 15th place, but are still 1.45 points behind Greece. That makes two wins and one promotion in the case of Glimtu, as the Norwegians are tied with four. We will inform you about further developments around the coefficient after the rematches.
