When to watch Coco Gauf vs Aryna Sabalenka?

The opening women’s singles semi-final at the Australian Open will feature a clash between the number two seed and the number four seed. The favourite to advance is the Belarusian player, who has not lost more than three games in any of the sets played so far. The match will start on Thursday 25 January at 9:30.

Gauff’s unconvincing progress, Sabalenka unstoppable

Coco Gauff experienced her first major test in the quarter-finals when she ran into Marta Kostyukova. She managed to win the opening set, although she was already down 5:1. However, she then failed to break the tiebreak of the second set, so the match had to be decided in the third set. The American was better and won it for herself 6:2.

However, we cannot speak of a convincing progress of the nineteen-year-old American. She committed an incredible 51 unforced errors in the match and played only seventeen winning shots.

Aryna Sabalenka did not lose a single set on her way to the semifinals of the Australian Open. Interestingly, however, she did not allow her opponent more than three games in any of the ten sets she played. The Ukrainian Tsurenkova even left the court after sets of 0:6 and 0:6.

Betting tip – Sabalenka to win

Although the American player managed the US Open final better thanks to the strong support of the home crowd, I expect Sabalenka to advance. The latter is in incredible form both on serve and return. One set won by Gauff would also be a surprise.
