Cobra ran out of poison? Ondrášek doesn’t shine even after his return to Norway, his contract expires in December
Zdeněk Ondrášek had a bizarre engagement in FCSB, where he was fired after a few weeks. He was subsequently taken up by Tromso in Norway, where he left a significant mark in the past. But it can’t be said that he has been successful beyond the Arctic Circle.
Zdeněk Ondrášek had a bizarre engagement in FCSB, where he was fired after a few weeks. Subsequently, he was taken up by Tromso in Norway, where he left a significant mark in the past. But it can’t be said that he has been successful beyond the Arctic Circle.
Zdeněk Ondrášek spent a good part of his career in Norway. Before his summer return, he played 142 games for Tromso with 55 goals and 17 assists. He was very popular with the fans, became one of the key players and played in European Cup groups.
His departure to Poland therefore hurt the fans of the northernmost Norwegian team. In Wisla Krakow, he continued his good performances and got a job in the MLS, where he excelled in a Dallas jersey. Thanks to his great form, he also earned a place in the national team, which made him very visible in the Czech Republic.
In September 2020, he returned to his homeland as a big signing for Viktoria Plzeň. He didn’t start his engagement badly, but he didn’t make the contribution to the team that was expected. After less than a year, he moved on, signing for FCSB in Romania.
However, Ondrášek did not stay in Romania for long. Already after the first minutes in a friendly match, the club owner declared that he was not a player with sufficient qualities for his team.
So when his contract was terminated, the Strakonice native returned to the club where he spent most of his career, Tromso in Norway. And the beginning of his engagement was excellent. In the first game he scored a goal and an assist
But since then, he’s been waiting for another shot. He has already played in six matches, all of which were empty. Only twice did Ondrášek appear in the starting lineup. So he has a lot of work to do to earn a spot in the starting lineup.
He has a contract until 31 December 2021. If he wants to get an extension, he will have to fight hard.
