Clarkson headlines the Jazz for the second straight season

Jordan Clarkson shone the brightest in the Utah Jazz vs. Detroit Pistons (154:148), which was decided in overtime. In the last game he became the first Utah player in 16 years to record a triple-double. He was the game’s leading scorer against the Pistons.

He scored 36 points in the game. His three-pointer with three minutes left in overtime was the decisive moment for the Utah team. Again, he was not one of the starting lineup players, but he was the best player. He spent the most minutes on the floor of any Jazz player, nearly 38 minutes. With these great performances, he is clearly making a case for not being just a bench player anymore.

Detroit suffered its 30th defeat in the last 31 games, although the Bogdanovic, Cunnigham duo scored 36 and 31 points, respectively. It wasn’t enough for the Jazz again. Clarkson’s outstanding performance was complemented by 31 points from Finn Lauri Markkanen.

Sabonis has his seventh triple-double of the season

In the game Sacramento Kings vs Orlando Magic (138:135), the versatile player Domantas Sabonis shined again. He loaded Orlando’s basket with 22 points, but most importantly, he broke the 20-rebound mark again. He scored 23 in the game and since he also added 12 assists, he recorded his seventh triple-double of the season.

Overall, he notched the 39th of his career. In addition, he is the player who holds the longest streak of double-doubles, which is at least double digits in two different statistics. With this game, he stretched that streak to 16 games in a row.

Orlando’s Paolo Bancher’s 43 points didn’t change the Kings’ victory, as he scored a personal best in the NBA and was the day’s leading scorer. Of course, the joy of his life performance was spoiled by the defeat of his team.

Doncic also scored over 40 points

In the game Dallas vs Portland (126:97), which was a one-sided affair by the Mavericks, Luka Doncic scored 41 points and led his team to victory. He made up for his bad taste from the last game in which he scored only 19 points.

On the Portland side, no one could manage 20 points, while the upstart Doncic was supported by 29 points from Kyrie Irving in Dallas. The Slovenian again pulled back some of the deficit on NBA leading scorer Joel Embiid. It’s currently 34.8 to 33.7 points per game for the Philadelphia leader.
