The UFC returns to Europe and will be in Paris this Saturday. The main event will be handled by the home side’s Ciryl Gane, who will be challenged by the increasingly popular Tai Tuivasa in a heavyweight bout. What to expect from the fight and what to bet on?

While the UFC in Paris is not a numbered tournament, it will offer more than enough interesting fights. Especially the main one will be very attractive. The top heavyweight fighters will face each other.

Ciryl Gane was the interim champion at the beginning of the year before he was beaten by the rightful king Francis Ngannou. It was the Frenchman’s first ever loss in MMA and now he will be looking to shake it off.

Tai Tuivasa lost three fights between December 2018 and October 2019. They were his first losses and his last since then as well. Since then, he’s been on a five-fight winning streak, and in addition to breaking into the third spot in the UFC’s heavyweight rankings, he’s also won over a lot of fans.

Tuivasa is a spectacular puncher. He has 14 wins and 13 of them by KO/TKO. The power of his punches is awe-inspiring. However, Gane has beaten another puncher, Derrick Lewis, and has also faced Ngannou, another fighter who has a punch. And neither one has touched him properly.

Gane has great movement on the feet. He keeps his distance and has no problem scoring the whole fight. However, the fight with Ngannou showed that his ground game isn’t perfect. So he’s probably not going to go to the ground, but neither is Tuivasa.

The fight is also scheduled for five rounds. And although Gane will probably be fitter, Tuivasa will have plenty of time to send his KO punch.
