Chochlikova will fight for the prestigious WMC title in Muay Thai Evening 11

On Saturday 7.8. the audience can look forward to Muay Thai Evening 11 Araver Fight Night. The Slovak phenomenon Monika Chochlíková will perform in Trencin. The European and world thaiboxing champion has recently switched to MMA, where she has two dominant wins to her credit, but now she is returning to her original discipline.

Chochlíková is only missing one title in her collection, namely the WMC World Title, the most prestigious affair in the world of Thai boxing. Only Vladimir Moravcik and Jiri Zak have won it on Czechoslovak soil so far.

In the fight for the prestigious title Monica will face the WMC European Champion, Glory Champions League fighter Funda Alkayış from Turkey, who has more than 500 amateur fights and 37 wins among professionals.

The MTE 11 tournament will also be enriched by a four-man pyramid for the Slovak WMC Thai boxing champion in the under 63,5 kilograms weight class, where Leonard Borák, Nikolas Krivák, Lukáš Mandinec and Benjamin Dolnák will compete for the championship.

“This will be the eighteenth MTE tournament in ten years. It is our child, which we are constantly raising and moving forward. Today, after Enfusion, we are the second biggest event in Slovakia, where not only the domestic top thaiboxers are presented, but also world-class fighters who help to raise the level of the tournaments even more.

Another interesting name on the tournament’s starting list is undoubtedly Sebastian Fapšo. The Slovak tank never ceases to amaze fans on the domestic scene. In the superfight, he will be looking to complete a trilogy with Jozef Kolodzei, with whom he won once and lost once.

Also returning to Czechoslovak soil will be Serbian sensation, 130kg Strahinja Mitric, who defeated Czech legend Tomas Hron at the OKTAGON Underground tournament in February.
