Where to watch Chelsea vs Middlesbrough?
Tuesday’s Carabao Cup semi-final rematch will see two teams from different leagues face off. The current form plays to the home side, while the visitors have a one-goal lead from the first confrontation. Hosted by Stamford Bridge, the match will be played on 23 January at 21:00.
Chelsea better in attack, Middlesbrough gaining experience
The Blues have finally managed to find their ideal attacking line-up. Summer signing Cole Palmer is one of the best strikers in the league, Raheem Sterling gives the offensive experience and Noni Madueke is unexpectedly catching on. At home, the Blues have a 7-1 record over their past three games.
Middlesbrough is indeed a second league team, but in January they first fell unluckily 0: 1 with a late goal after a great battle, then they beat Chelsea. Fresh experience with the English top flight may mean that the players at Stamford Bridge will not be shaken up.

Betting tip – Chelsea to win and score maximum five goals
It is not worth betting on Chelsea to win outright, a combination with fewer goals is more promising. The opening game showed how much of a problem Chelsea’s conquest is. That’s also why the Blues are relatively good at bigger games where they don’t have to create as much (4: 4 with Manchester City, 2: 2 with Arsenal). That’s why I’m guessing a maximum of five goals in normal time, three for the more adventurous. Middlesbrough’s first half defence will still be fresh, so I’d recommend trying for a draw.
