Check out Gueye’s great shot from 40 metres which helped PSG to win
PSG also managed to win their third league match, beating Brest 4-2. However, it was midfielder Idrissa Gueye who was the standout performer in Friday’s match, as he scored a long-range shot to make it 3-1.

Neither of the pair Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos have yet started their third league game. Pochettino did not even have Neymar on the roster, but the starting line-up was very respectable despite the absence of these stars!
This was eventually reflected in the match, in which PSG kept the ball on their hooves 74% of the time. But it was not a clear-cut win.
The visitors did take the lead, first through Ander Herrera and then through Kylian Mbappé. However, striker Franck Honorat managed to reduce the gap to one goal shortly before the break.
PSG continued to press in the second half, but the goal was not forthcoming. This was only true until the 73rd minute, when Gueye took the ball in the middle, took a couple of steps and his shot caught Dutch goalkeeper Marc Bizot by surprise, who scored his third league goal this season after two draws (Rennes 1: 1, Lyon 1: 1).
Brest, however, managed to reduce the gap back to a single goal in the 85th minute. It was Ángel Di María who gave his teammates the final break, coming on for Mbappé in the 81st minute and celebrating his first goal of the new season 9 minutes later.
PSG are thus far stumbling towards the league championship without a stumble, and the Parisian side is far from being at its strongest.
PSG will most likely be unbeaten this season, but it will be different in the Champions League, where they will be expected to win.
