Jabloneč footballers had to bow down to the Scottish favourite. Celtic won both matches of the 3rd preliminary round of the Europa League 7:2 against the North Bohemian team. On the other hand, Jablonec’s management team and players brought an incredible experience to the Czech Republic. The atmosphere at Celtic Park is like nothing else.

Jablonec’s new season has not been going as expected so far, with Petr Rada’s charges having 4 points from three games in the domestic competition and conceding quite a lot of goals. The same happened in the preliminary round against Celtic.

It was the quality defence that graced Jablonec last season, but the defensive magic is gone for now.

The Jablonec players now face a crucial 14 days that will decide whether the season will be as successful as possible or not.

In the Fortuna League, Jablonec will visit Teplice Stínadla and then play a Conference League play-off with Žilina. In between the European double-header, the North Czechs will face the strong Slovácko.

Anyway, the key to satisfaction is to qualify for the European Cup. Now, let’s take a look back together at what the Jablonec management team and the players experienced in Scotland. A packed and excited Celtic Park!

As many write, with the return of fans to the stadiums, football is finally back. Of course, for Czech fans and the club’s coefficient, Jablonec’s result is a black mark.

But after all, in all fairness, Jablonec is a slightly different format club to the Scottish giant. Let’s hope Petr Rada can get past the young and predatory Slovakian club from Žilina and then add some points to the coefficient.
