Career over? Agüero remains positive despite speculation

Less than a fortnight ago, Sergio Agüero played his last game for Barcelona. Against Alavés, he had to be substituted just before the end of the first half due to chest pains.

After this inconvenience, Barcelona announced that the Argentine striker will recover for three months, of course under the supervision of doctors.

There was a report on Catalunya Radio today that Agüero is suffering from a heart arrhythmia, which is said to be incompatible with professional football.

In a statement on social media, Agüero wrote that he is following doctors’ orders amid speculation about the end of his career.

He also added that progress will be seen in 90 days. Finally, he wrote that he remains positive, adding his typical gesture.

The former Manchester City striker moved to FC Barcelona this season after his contract expired at the English club. He made 5 starts for the Catalan club, scoring 1 goal.
