Can he do what Procházka couldn’t? Cheeky Hill is clear about the fight with Pereira: I’m going to shut it down and then I’m going to throw it in everyone’s face
Unfortunately, Jiří Procházka did not beat Alex Pereira. However, the new welterweight champion is going to be finished by the plain-spoken Jamahal Hill, who sent a clear message to everyone. But can he keep it? It won’t be easy.
Unfortunately, Jiří Procházka did not beat Alex Pereira. However, the new light heavyweight champion is going to be finished by the plain-spoken Jamahal Hill, who sent a clear message to everyone. But can he keep it? It won’t be easy.
Alex Pereira is the new UFC light heavyweight king as of Sunday. In the title fight, he unfortunately defeated Jiri Prochazka, stopping him in the second round. That means one thing. His next opponent will be Jamahal Hill.
The American fighter was crowned champion after defeating Glover Teixeira. However, following the example of Walk, he vacated the title due to a serious injury. He will fight for it again when he returns.
Even before the Prochazka vs. Pereira bout, Hill had a lot on his mind. After all, he’s not helping his case with a lot of fans. He’s unusually confident, his mouth is cut open, he doesn’t go far to put others down.
This was the case after the game, in which he leaned on both Pereira and Prochazka. So many are looking forward to seeing him prove himself against the Brazilian warrior. And with his words, Hill is adding gasoline to the fire.
Hill has a clear script for his fight with Pereira
Jamahal Hill and confident statements, they just go together. But can he back them up? We’ll find out when he meets Pereira. But until then, the American brash man needs to get healthy first and foremost.
But he’s already clear about the course of the fight. “Mark my words. I don’t plan on taking Pereira down, I don’t plan on using wrestling on him. I plan on being with him where you think he’s like out of this world. I’m going to be in a stance with him,” MMA Junkie quotes him as saying.
“He’s done kickboxing, but MMA is a different sport. I’ve been doing MMA for years, I was brought up in the sport. I’ll fight Pereira in the stand-up anytime. I’m going to knock him out. When I do, I’m going to rub it in everybody’s face,” Hill is clear.
He won’t rub it in Pereira’s face, though. He considers him a friend. Jamahal considers himself the best fighter in the world. But if he falls, he has a lot to look forward to.
