Cameroon has not lost in this year’s championship. It has won twice and drawn once in the group stage. It dominated its group with seven points. It knocked out Comoros 2-1 in the eighth round and beat Gambia 2-0 in the quarter-finals.

Cameroon’s strength in attack has been known throughout the tournament. Their record is 11: 4 in all matches. Only two strikers scored goals, Vincent Aboubakar scored 6 goals and Karl Toko Ekambi scored 5 goals.

Visiting Egypt advanced to the knockout rounds from second place. It won twice and lost once in the group. In the eighth round, they knocked out Ivory Coast 1-0 after a penalty shoot-out. In the quarter-finals, they beat Morocco 2-1.

Egypt is not one of the most productive teams in the tournament. It scored five goals and conceded two. The best player is undoubtedly Mohamed Salah, who has scored two goals and one assist so far. Mohamed Elneny, who plays as a defensive midfielder, is in great form.

Cameroon has been able to assert itself in each of its matches and is expected to score at least one goal in the semi-finals. Egypt maintains an average of one goal per game and could build on that statistic. Both teams have quality in attack. Even though not many goals have been scored in the championship, both teams could make an impact in this match.

The important factor will be that this is a semi-final match. Everyone wants to make it to the final and both teams will give it their all. Cameroon is the favourite, but Egypt is not without a chance.

The winner may not be known after ninety minutes have been played. Egypt has already gone to extra time twice and it could be a draw again when two strong teams face each other.
