He’s doing great in the UFC. Heavyweight Martin Buday won his fourth fight in the organization over the weekend, this time in the first round, and finally accomplished his goal of leaving the cage relatively early. With this win, he moved up in the rankings and received many accolades from well-known personalities.

Over the weekend, he proved to all the doubters once again that he belongs in the UFC. Thirty-one-year-old Slovakian Martin Buday won his fourth fight in the famous organization, this time in the first round.

His opponent was the experienced American Josh Parisian, before him he also defeated Jake Collier, Lukasz Brzeski and Chris Barnett. After the fight he received praise from many Czech-Slovak fighters.

Attila Végh, Radovan Úškrt, Lajoš Klein and Daniel Škvor congratulated him. He was also complimented by UFC legend Daniel Cormier, who handles post-fight interviews in the UFC.

“We can watch you work right now. Parisian tried to take you to the ground, but you literally threw him aside. I think you’re the strongest fighter I’ve seen in a while. You threw him to the ground and that’s where you went for the kimura,” he said in his post-fight interview.

The latest win earned him another move up the rankings. Buday was 56th in the world rankings before the fight, and this time he jumped four places to tie the record high he held after his last win over Collier.

Of course, he is not yet in the top 15 of the UFC rankings, but he is getting significantly closer to it. It could happen as early as this year, as Buday has plans to show his face in the cage.

There is speculation that thirty-eight year old Brazilian Marcos Rogerio de Lima could be his opponent, with a clash with American Don’Tale Mayes being more realistic.
