Mohammed Kudus is being watched very closely by most European teams, with Brighton expected to be the most active. The Ghanaian striker should be one of the priorities for the south coast of England this summer.

Brighton certainly had no problems scoring goals last season. Only Manchester City (94 goals), Arsenal (88 goals) and Liverpool (75 goals) have scored more goals in the Premier League than the club from the south of England (72 goals).

But the top scorers were mostly midfielders, something coach Roberto De Zerbi is well aware of and can be counted on to change for next season. In this respect, Kudus is the perfect choice.

When Ajax bring someone in, he has them very well scouted and is equally sure to monetise the player in question. It won’t always work out, but with Ghana’s very gifted striker, he will 99% succeed.

The only 22-year-old striker arrived in the Netherlands in the summer of 2020 from Danish side Nordsjaelland for €9 million and has since scored 23 goals in 84 games for the Ajax A-team. However, most of them, 18 to be precise, were scored in the last season.

Fabrizio Romano informed the world on his Twitter account that it is Brighton who should be most interested in Kudus. This transfer would certainly make sense for the player himself, since, as mentioned, the English club is lacking a top striker.

Moreover, thanks to Brighton’s 6th place finish in the league, Kudus would also feature in European cups. And quite possibly, he could just meet his former teammates when both teams play in the Europa League.

Kudus is very quick, has a good dribbling ability and at Ajax he was used to running deep into the box for the ball. He should fit in well with Brighton. The Ghanaian international has a lot of potential and if he fulfils it, we can expect to see him at a top European club soon.
