Liverpool will be looking to confirm their 100% league record from December on Monday, with a game at Brentford, who are also on a roll. What to expect from the game and what to bet on?

Brentford have won their opening two games after a long break, drawing 2-2 at home to Tottenham and beating West Ham 2-0 in another London derby. They are tenth in the table and already have a ten-point lead on the relegation zone.

Liverpool are making up for a bad start to the season, winning both December rounds (against Aston Villa and Leicester), even if the performance was not great. They are sixth in the table, four points behind the Top 4 guaranteeing the Champions League.

Brentford’s key figures

The home side stand on the goals of Ivan Toney, the tidy striker has scored 13 goals and assisted four others. In the midfield, the tireless Christian Norgaard is back after injury, with the Danish international scoring once and assisting once.

Liverpool’s key figures

The Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah, the author of 15 goals and five assists, has been firing for a long time on the away side. Andrew Robertson is also playing in good form, with eight goal assists already.

What to expect and what to bet on?

Brentford rely mainly on a reliable attack thanks to Toney, scoring 27 goals, more than Chelsea or Manchester United. He has also scored more than once in his last four league games.

Liverpool have already stabilised their defence, only three teams in the league have scored fewer goals than him. In the last four rounds he has scored once each time, on the other hand he has kept a clean sheet in only one of the eight occasions.

Considering the likely absence of Ivan Toney, as well as a well-functioning defence and the fact that in none of Liverpool’s last five games have more than ten corners been kicked, I think the visitors will win and fewer than 12 corners will be kicked.
