Brentford vs. Brighton: Preview and betting tips
Friday’s Premier League Round 10 preview game will see Brentford take on Brighton. Both teams are, perhaps a little surprisingly, in the top half of the table or just behind it. What to expect from their confrontation and what to put on the ticket?
Friday’s Premier League Round 10 preview game will see Brentford take on Brighton. Both teams are, perhaps a little surprisingly, in the top half of the table or just behind it. What to expect from their confrontation and what to put on the ticket?
Brentford, after a very good start of the season, started to struggle, capturing a single point from the last three rounds and gradually dropping from the Top 6 to 11th place in the table. The relegation zone is now only four points away.
Brighton, despite a tough draw at the beginning of the season and the departure of mainstays Marco Cucurella (Chelsea) and Yves Bissouma (Tottenham), are doing well, they are seventh and have one game to play. They are only two points behind the top four.
Ivan Toney has been in excellent form so far, the burly English striker has scored six goals and assisted three times. Left back Rico Henry is also doing well and there has even been talk of a possible call-up to the England national team.
The Belgian winger Leandro Trossard shines in the visitors’ jersey, scoring five times and assisting twice. Germany’s Pascal Gross has long been a mainstay of the midfield, scoring three goals and assisting two so far.
Brentford’s defence has stopped working, they have conceded more than once in three of their last four games, yet they have experienced players like Ben Mee in the centre of defence.
In addition, Brighton have struggled on away pitches, scoring two or more goals in four of their five games this season. For example, they won 2-1 at Old Trafford and drew 3-3 at Anfield.
Given the form of the strikers on both sides and Brentford’s poor defensive performance, I think both teams will score.
