The Premier League is back after two weeks and Arsenal are back in action on Sunday after losing their first league points of the season to Manchester United. Mikel Arteta’s charges now face an away clash with Brentford, who have yet to lose at home.

Not much was expected from Brentford given the lack of strengthening of the squad in their second season among the elite, but they have started well and are ninth with nine points. They are currently five points clear of the relegation zone.
Arsenal have also started well, leading the league before the round, but after Saturday’s wins against Manchester City and Tottenham they are two points behind both clubs. They have won five of the six rounds, only losing to Manchester United last time out, 3-1 at Old Trafford.
Ivan Toney had a great start to the season, the English striker scored five times and assisted twice. His strike partner Bryan Mbeumo scored twice, while in defence, summer signing Ben Mee from Burnley shone.
On the away side, Manchester City loanee Gabriel Jesus is doing well, with the Brazilian international scoring three goals and assisting three. Martin Odegaard, the captain of both the team and the Norwegian national team, also found the net three times from the centre of midfield.
Brentford have benefited from their home form so far this season, not losing yet, winning twice (4-0 against Manchester United, 5-2 against Leeds) and drawing with Everton.
Arsenal have been particularly successful in attack since the start of the season, scoring more than once in six out of seven games in all competitions, only failing at Old Trafford. Leicester, for example, have scored four goals.
Given the general wellbeing of the Arsenal squad and the form of Jesus and Odegaard, I expect the Gunners to get back on a winning streak.
