Of course, football is all about scoring goals. But the fans also want to be entertained and see something that catches their attention. And that’s what the Brazilian footballers are the champions of, they have the ball glued to their feet and love to entertain themselves and the fans.
And Real Madrid have two such players in their squad who love to cuddle with the ball. Vinícius and Rodrygo made the difference in Los Blancos’ win over Mallorca in the second half, before showing their understanding of the ball.
Rodrygo, for example, worked a long ball and flicked it over Galarreta, then immediately after the impact he flicked it over a second time. Vinícius then toyed with his opponents, who he put two “housle” on and looked like he had the ball stuck to his foot.
Then it was the turn of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Rodrygo took the ball behind the halfway line, used a great dribble to dispossess three Mallorca players, passed the ball to Vinicius, who poked it past stopper Valjent and scored.
In the 89th minute, Rodrygo put on an even bigger show when he soloed beautifully past several opposing players to make it 3-1.
