Vinícius Junior is slowly growing into a world-class star. Carlo Ancelotti has unlocked his full potential this season and the young Brazilian is finally shining. Tite, the coach of the Brazil national team, has thus asked Ancelotti for advice to let the 21-year-old speedster play as much for the national team as for Real Madrid.

Just three league goals last season. Three the year before that, too, and only two before that. Everyone could see that Vinícius had huge potential. He’s extremely quick, like a typical Brazilian, great on the dribble, really comfortable with the ball. But he was so bad in the final stages, that’s why he had so few points.

The new coach Ancelotti has started to work more with Vinícius, recommending him, among other things, to play much less touches in the final.

And the result is in the world. In La Liga, Vinícius has collected 14 goals and 6 assists in 28 games, he also scored in the Super Cup and has a 2+5 record in the Champions League. And he added his debut goal for Brazil.

It was the fact that Tite wanted to make him shine in the yellow Canaries jersey like he did at Real Madrid. The coach of the Brazilian national team therefore even asked for advice from the coach of Los Blancos, Carlo Ancelotti.

“His adaptation and maturation process took a bit of time. But now he arrived at the meeting with much more naturalness, as if he had lifted the burden off himself. I asked Ancelotti for advice on what we can do, which tactical moves work for him in Madrid, so that he plays in the national team as well as at the club. Ancelotti has a lot of respect for me, it was a great and transparent combination of two coaches who want to get the best out of him,” Tite told Spanish daily Marca.

Brazil will be among the biggest favourites for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Neymar, Vinícius, Roberto Firmino, Casemiro, Coutinho, Thiago Silva – that’s huge strength and quality. Lucas Paqueta or Vinícius are relied upon as leaders of the new generation in Brazil.

“The leaders of the team are captains Dani Alves and Thiago Silva. As players, Neymar and Vinícius will attract the most media attention. Expectations are high,” Tite knows well.
